Description

Building on the success of last year's free outdoor concerts, Symphony Silicon Valley presents four rousing displays of classical music for the whole family. In keeping with the season, the water and ice cream will be free.

Saturday's show, "A little Classical Night Music," features the works Tchakovsky's Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, Borodin's seduction Polovtsian Dances, the hypnotic Ritual Fire Dance, Medelssohn's Italian Symphony, Mozart's A Little Night music and much more.

The Sunday concert "Fiddles 'n Fables" features musical stories for kids and the kid-at-herat, including William Tell, March of the Toys, Tubby the Tuba, Sleeping Beauty, Empire Strikes Back, Night On Bald Mountain, all presented by high-energy Maestro Jaffe.

Friday, August 3, will feature Paquito D'Rivera, a latin jazz musician. He has won 9 Grammys to date. He combines Latin, jazz, and classical music elements into each of his songs.

Saturday, August 4, will be the American Songbook. This show will feature Broadway stars Christine Andreas and Paul Schoeffler from Rock of Ages. They will perform the music of Rogers & Hart and Harold Arlen. Lady is a Tramp, That Old Black Magic, and Stormy Weather.
