Description
Sylvia Cuenca is an active drummer on the New York jazz scene and has had the honor of sharing the bandstand with saxophone legend Joe Henderson for four years. Throughout her career, she has toured extensively in Europe, Asia, and the U.S., and has also performed with trumpet legend Clark Terry for 17 years. In addition to her impressive credentials and experience, Sylvia is the recipient of two NEA Grants and in 1992 she was a semi-finalist at Thelonious Monk International Drum Competition.
