Go behind-the-scenes at the Museum to explore new and ancient artifacts, determine their value, and tell their stories in creative installations. We’ll investigate the rocks, plants, ocean, animals, and history of Santa Cruz on daily nature hikes, scavenger hunts, and explorations at nearby Seabright Beach. Working with both real museum artifacts (we have over 16,000!) and newly collected specimens, campers will learn how to curate their own unique exhibits about our local natural history. All campers will participate in an opening reception and show their work in a special exhibition this summer at the Museum.
