The legendary Mexican restaurant La Barca closed its doors in April of 2012, after 50 years of business, and so began the journey of Stock in Trade. A complete tear-down and remodel began in mid-April, highlighted by an indoor Bocce-ball court, an extended 35-stool bar, sky-lights placed in new 14-foot high ceilings, and much much more. The talented Gi Paoletti (involved in the design of Maven, Per Diem, Bloodhound, and many more) was the mastermind architect and designer behind the new look.

Executive Chef Jake Kwan-Rosenbush (Naked Lunch, 15 Romolo, Gary Danko) has created an American tavern-style menu featuring plenty of appetizers and share plates for the large bar area. The menu also features a robust section of entrees for patrons in search of a full dining experience. Max DiMare, a Chronicle 3-star chef from Wood Tavern in Oakland has been hired as a consultant for the project.

The bar features 12 beers on tap, an extended menu of hand-crafted cocktails, and a wine list of over 50 bottles (and plenty of TV's for Giants and Niners games!).
