Stars at Foreign Cinema featuring Jeremiah Tower & friends

On Thursday, November 7th, 2013, dinner guests will have the opportunity to experience “Stars at Foreign Cinema” – an unforgettable evening with Chef/Owners Gayle Pirie and John Clark and the legendary food authority, Jeremiah Tower. The team will recreate a Stars menu from October 20th, 1989, a year full of personal and professional introspection and celebration, and a time full of infamous San Francisco history.

As part of the James Beard Foundation’s Celebrity Chef Tour, Pirie and Clark have invited Emily Luchetti, Executive Pastry Chef of Waterbar and Farallon; Loretta Keller, of COCO500 and Seaglass Restaurant; Wendy Brucker, of Rivoli and Corso Restaurants; Dominique Crenn, of Atelier Crenn; and Bruce Hill, of BIX and the forthcoming Fog City; among many others to join them in welcoming Tower back to San Francisco and in honoring the institution of Stars.

The a la carte menu, a collaborative effort from the chefs’ team, will showcase Tower’s iconic style, and allow guests to order as ambitiously or as simply as they wish, much like the original Stars experience. Menu highlights include Steak Tartare, Opulent Caviar and Blini, Tea Smoked Duck Breast & Chanterelles, Oysters on the Half Shell, and endless special vintage Champagnes.
