Description
The acclaimed Stanford Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble is excited to present its final performance of the academic year! In addition to our usual mix of traditional Salsa, Latin Jazz, Cuban Timba and Son, we’ve got a few new wrinkles this time around — Puerto Rican Plena, a John Coltrane classic, and old school R&B and funk - all with a Latin tinge! The concert includes songs composed or performed by greats such as Los Van Van, Tito Rodriguez, Conjunto Libre, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, John Coltrane and Armando Peraza. You'll definitely *feel* the rhythm!Don't miss it! Get your seats early - our last show in Campbell was sold out! Buy tickets in advance to save -- $15 general / $10 senior and student. Door prices go up $5, so reserve your space early. As always, the concert is FREE to Stanford students with SUID. For more information, see the group website at http://latinjazz.stanford.edu, our Facebook page, or ticket links below. Note the earlier 7 PM Sunday start time.
