Beginning its 80th season, San Jose Symphonic Choir is one the country's most successful volunteer choral societies. The 110-voice Choir, lead by Maestro Leroy Kromm, presents major works for chorus and orchestra in the fall, winter, and spring of each year. The Choir is well known as the sponsor of San Jose's Christmas time "You-Sing-It Messiah", which for twenty-three years has brought large audiences/participants to the Center for the Performing Arts. This past summer, the Choir performed throughout Italy, from Venice to Rome, on an Italian Cathedral Concert Tour.
