San Jose Blues Week is a yearly Blues festival started by Chef Ramon Johnson of 90.5 FM KSJS.Blues Week takes place at multiple venues throughout San Jose. Each has a different lineup of up and coming blues musicians.
Blues Week was first conceived by Ramon Johnson in 2005, through his program "Talking Blues" which took place in Hugh Gillis Hall. Since then its grown into a weekly festival. It faced a hiatus in 2010 but is now newly reinstated in San Jose.
Metro Newspaper presents the 33rd Annual Fountain Blues Fest, held on July 20 from 12pm to 8pm. The gates open at 11am. The full band set will be listed for Fountain Blues Fest and San Jose Blues Week.
