San Jose's Sweet HayaH play a sub-genre of soul that doesn't even have a name, a hybrid of rock, world-beat, blues and classic R&B. The band already shows so much confidence, particularly lead singer Nehal Abuelata, whose voice channels the deep passion of the classic soul artists, while the band-Devin Moreno, Aaron Marques and Josh Gardner, and Brandon Garcia -back her with a funky, blues and indie-rock concoctions.
