The main reason most people show up to Rasselas is to hear great jazz & blues. Sometimes there is a door charge, but most of the time it's free, so if you stop by, you're in for a treat. If you eat a meal (Ethiopian Cuisine), there is no door charge.

Also, there is a lot of great stuff going on in back: hip hop, spoken word, djs, and special events of all kinds. Music is ususally: Monday - Thursday (8 pm - 12 midnight), Saturday (9 pm - 1 am).
