Description
Tonight’s Battle of the Bands features a hodgepodge of local talent, from ska band Trouble in Paradise to indie-folk diva April Chase. Fans of post-hardcore heaviness will find a hero in Hayward’s Raelin, a rollicking five-piece that can smash out ultra-heavy guitar riffs with unusual grace. Singer Uli Rodriguez is the quintessential front-man: charismatic, mysterious, and oh yeah, he can belt out lyrics like a foghorn in a thunderstorm. Hard rockers Otonamous and San Jose’s Black Tie Prophets also get it on the bout.
