San Jose Jazz is proud to present a jazz show with Octobop at the San Pedro Square Market, as part of their new concert series. Octobop sticks to playing traditional West Coast Jazz, incorporating many of the stylistic traits associated with this form, such as new ideas, harmonies, ensemble playing and great improvisation. Their sound is strongly influenced by the likes of Gerry Mulligan, Chet Baker, Shorty Rogers, Bud Shank, Bob Cooper, Dave Pell, Jimmy Guiffre and Howard Rumsey, among others. Octobop has performed at multiple festivals and events in California, including the popular San Jose Jazz Fest.More Info
