Description
A lot of groove-metal/hardcore bands seem to be putting all their efforts into sounding as aggressive as humanly possible or as complex as they're technically capable-or both. L.A.'s Mureau sounds bare-bones by comparison, an almost throwback groove-metal band. They write very heavy and simple post-hardcore licks with a lot of screaming. Yet, most of their choruses are softer and have actual melodic singing parts. (which are arguably the weakest parts of their songs). They released their debut album, Rumors and Reputations, on Mediaskare in 2011. It's a bit polished, but live they still sound as raw as ever.
