The Forever D.O.P.E tour is coming to Johnny Vs with a whole lot of underground Bay Area hip hop talent. The tour was organized by Monstaville Music, an independent San Jose label started by Trey C and Playa Rae, who will also be one of the acts performing. Before Monstaville Music, Trey C and Playa Rae had been individually producing banging club tracks, but once they joined forces, their beats became more grandiose and with greater mainstream appeal. Regardless of production value, Trey C and Playa Rae are fervently committed to their independent status. Also on the bill is Oakland rapper J. Lately, San Francisco rapper Dregs One and San Jose turntablist DJ Eternal.Comments
