Not many performers can comfortably put on an engaging two and a half-hour set just as easily as a concise 30-minute one. But Maxx Cabello, Jr. isn't your typical performer. In the last year, he has opened for B.B. King, played the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest, headlined at JJ Blues and brought down the house at a raging New Year's Eve bash in the Virgin Islands. What makes his performances so malleable is the immense variety he has to choose from. He plays everything from classic soul to Latin rock to energetic blues to just plain rock and roll. He might woo audiences with a tender love song or nail a 10-minute guitar solo. He does it all.
