Katie Bloom’s has changed up its tempo. Once a mellow hangout for true-blue pub lovers, this “Best Pub” winner now swaps out the inside tables for a dance floor and brings in a DJ on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Don’t worry, though; Katie’s still offers pub favorites like Wednesday quiz nights and Sunday karaoke, and the full bar has enough alcohol that even on club nights, nondancing patrons can get properly sloshed to drown out the high-pitched chatter of giddy, way-too-trendy club kids.
