It seems like every couple months Joe Demaree is working on something new, whether it is a surrealist painting, a book of short fiction or some offcenter musical endeavor. Originally the front man for the experimental art punk outfit Unit Breed, Demaree is currently playing solo acoustic shows. And it is weird. Indescribably strange. He is basically a folk, roots rock troubadour, but not like one you have ever seen before on this planet, although that should be no surprise for anyone that has seen his bizarro public access show Welcome Back!. For South First Friday, Demaree will also exhibit his artwork.
