Studio 8 will be hosting a New Year's Eve party for the downtown San Jose area. The club is spending thousands of dollars in props and decor along with having a confetti drop at midnight. Champagne and party favors will also be available for everyone to toast in the new year.

Axis Nightclub will stay open for New Year's until 4am with eight DJs, including DJ Greg Lopez. The night will also include a midnight toast, balloon drop and party favors.

Pour House Bistro hosts a New Year's evening with drinks, dinner, burlesque, dessert, dancing and champagne at midnight. Jay and the Po Boys will be playing from 6:30 to 8pm, The Santa Cruz Sirens Burlesque Dancers perform 8:30 to 9:15 and Lara Price and Velvet Plum plays 9:30 to 1am.

Generation Esmeralda is a tribute band dedicated to performing the music of Santa Esmeralda. Jimmy Goings leads as members of the original touring including Tom Poole, Tony Baker and Mick Valentino join the tribute of gypsy infused flamenco style.

The Houserockers were recently named "Best Cover band in the Bay Area" by KFOX for winning its last band standing contest. Houserockers is a 10-piece rock and soul band from Los Gatos that performs big hits by Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Tower of Power and more.

Christopher Titus is known for his dysfunctional comedy. He often jokes about insanity, custody battles, suicide and fist fights with his father. Both events are 21 and up. Tickets are $65. The 7pm show includes dinner with east coast New Year's countdown, 10pm show will have champagne and hors d'oeuvres with west coast countdown.

Hotel Valencia Santana Row hosts a special New Year's event to ring out 2012. Special room rates start at $350 for the night. Night includes admission to the New Year's Eve Valencia Gala featuring a live band and DJ, champagne toast, and a Sweet Endings midnight dessert presentation.

Four Bay Area DJs will be spinning all night at Hilton Hotel Double Tree. There will be two rooms with music. There will also be a free champagne toast at midnight and giveaways on the dance floor and a balloon drop at midnight. Capacity is 1000. Everyone must be 21 and up. There will be an elegant dress code enforced.

The Four Seasons Silicon Valley will be hosting a black-tie NYE event. This party is geared towards the Bay Area's young urban professionals, designers, models, entrepreneurs and party goers. R&B from the 90's and now will be playing throughout the night.

The Assyrian American Association of San Jose hosts a New Year's Eve celebration at the Hyatt Convention Center in Santa Clara. Music will be by Edmond & DJ Teymour playing top 40 dance music.

Kids don't need to stay up until midnight to celebrate New Year's Eve. The Children's Discovery Museum is hosting a daytime celebration to bring in 2013. The entire family will be able to make their own noise maker, party hat, New Year's resolution and there will be a countdown to noon across time zones with the museum's own ball drop, just like Times Square.

The Retro Dome and ComedySportz are teaming up for a New Year's Eve event for the whole family. ComedySportz is an interactive improv group that performs like a sport for points against two teams. Since 1987 ComedySportz has performed thousands of times, each performance different.

The Hiller Aviation Museum is hosting a family friendly "Noon Year's Eve" celebration. Entertainment will include music by Cotton Candy Express Music, magician Phil Ackerly, face painting, jump house and exhibitors for adults. The event is free with museum admission. Kids under four are free.
