Description
Steven Free didn't have a great 2009. The South Bay-born graffiti artist who made a name for himself as Girafa was arrested and slapped with $40,000 in fines. He lost his job, his apartment in San Francisco, and much more. But instead of putting his spray cans down, Free has been climbing out debt by continuing to paint--on canvas, on walls (with permission) and by creating stickers, a car air freshener and now a keychain. The newest piece of Girafa paraphernalia, a 3D cartoon giraffe head, will be on sale, along with pieces of original Girafa art and prints, and other items, during his one-day pop-up shop at Seeing Things Gallery. Come through to meet the artist and pick up some "Longneck" swag.
