George Lopez's career has dabbled into everything, including television, film, stand-up comedy and late-night television. For two seasons, Lopez hosted his own show "Lopez Tonight," a late-night television talk show on TBS, which was Lopez's return to series television after co-creating, writing, producing and starring in his sitcom "George Lopez."
George Lopez had his third live stand-up special on HBO with "George Lopez: It's Not Me, It's You." His other HBO shows included 2009's "Tall, Dark & Chicano," which was the highest rated comedy special on HBO in five years, his first show, "America's Mexican," "Comic Relief 2006," the HBO Films presentation "Real Women Have Curves" and serving as guest commentator on HBO Sports' "Inside the NFL." He has also appeared in "We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial."
Lopez recently voiced Rafael in the animated blockbuster, "Rio," as well as the Grouchy Smurf in "The Smurfs." His other most recent film credits include "Valentine's Day, "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" and "Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2," "Swing Vote," "Henry Poole Is Here" and "Balls of Fury."
Recently Lopez was named one of the 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America by "Time" magazine. He was also one of the Top Ten Favorite Television Personalities by the Harris Poll.
