Description

The San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art wants to meet its neighbors. Toward that end, the SoFA District gallery is opening its doors every Friday evening this summer. The series, which they're calling "Free Friday Fun," kicks off June 30. All are invited to gnosh on pizza, enjoy a glass of wine or cold beer and peruse the ICA's three new exhibitions--"Detritus," "Heather Wilcoxon: At Sea" and "Kate Rhoades: Karen." The first event of the summer will focus mainly on mingling. However, future events will allow visitors to get hands on by making prints, meeting local brewers and learning how to collect art.
