English indie pop band Florence + The Machine gained massive fame after the released of their debut album Lungs which held its number-two position on the UK Albums Chart for five weeks later reaching the top position and staying on the chart for 28 consecutive weeks. The group's second studio album Ceremonials released in October 2011 debuting at number one in the UK and number six in the US. Singer Florence Welch is backed by a collaboration of other artists who provide the music. The re-release of "Dog Days Are Over" got Florence + The Machine featured on a number of popular TV shows including Grey's Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, Nikita, So You Think You Can Dance, Glee, and Gossip Girl. This Year, Florence + The Machine has been nominated for two Brit Awards.
The Weeknd is an R&B Canadian recording artist and producer from Toronto that has been dubbed the "Songbird of his Generation by MTV, Pitchfork, BET, Rolling Stone, XXL and The Source. He was also described as "the best musical talent since Michael Jackson" by John Norris of MTV. The Weeknd originally gained popularity through YouTube, but after the release of his 2011 album House of Balloons, The Weeknd earned universal critical acclaim.
