Join the Montalvo Arts Center as they present a screening of the film, Rashomon, as part of their popular Final Fridays series. Directed by the legendary Akira Kurosawa, this film explores the subjective nature of truth and the elusive meaning of justice as it tells of a heinous crime and its aftermath, recalled from differing points of view. Widely considered one of the greatest films ever made, Rashomon served as the inspiration to artist Chuck Ginnever for his eponymously titled installation currently on view at Montalvo, part of the Art on the Grounds 2013 exhibition Come Healing.
