In celebration of Filipino American History Month, History San Jose and the Filipino American National Historical Society's Santa Clara Valley Chapter presents Through My Father's Eyes, a photographic experience documenting Filipino American life in the 1940s and 50s in San Francisco at the Gallery in the Pacific Hotel at History Park. With 50 photos taken by Ricardo Ocreto Alvarado chosen by his daughter out of 3,000 photos discovered after his death, this exhibit offers a rare and intimate view into the daily life of the Filipino-American community in the Bay Area after World War II. Exhibit is opens July 12. Gallery admission is $5 for seniors and students, $8 for adults, and free for children 6 and under.
