Description
Punk rock is known to be obnoxious, but San Francisco's Crosstops is in a league of its own. With song titles like "Cockblocker," "Hello Satan," "Cocaine Angel," and "Someone Came in Grandma's Hair," it's best classified as "music that will offend you if you have a heartbeat." Also playing are Santa Cruz folk-punk band, Tater Famine, who got their start in 2006, and have continuously been drawing well ever since. They've demonstrated that you don't need drums and distorted guitars to have that intense punk energy live. - Aaron Carnes sanjose.com
