Visitors to the San Jose Museum of Art this Saturday will get a chance to learn about and participate in some of the traditions of Dia de los Muertos--the Mexican holiday to honor the dead. Dancing skeletons, decorating sugar skulls, mariachi music, traditional dance performances and an educational presentation on the cultural significance of the ofrenda, or altar, built to pay tribute to a dead friend or family member. The event is all ages and family friendly. Music by Mariachi San Jose and dance by Los Lupeños Folklórico.
