The current laid back West Coast hip hop sound is a stark contrast to the gritty club beats of the hyphy years. Oakland based rapper Clyde Carson bridges the gap between these two styles. His new single, Slow Down, captures that mellow Sunday BBQ groove and adds a pounding hyphy beat, but without any of those high pitched sounds. It is no surprise that his former crew, the Team, were major players in the hyphy movement. Mayne Mannish and Ka Kyzah from the Team joined him on Slow Down.Schedule
