Description
A collection of portraits and prints from Chuck Close will be at the San Jose Museum of Art from Oct. 6 to Jan. 10. Close is recognized for his work with printmaking. He was concerned that his prints not simply be smaller than versions of his paintings, but make printmaking an additional arena of investigation that would require him to engage in image-making in completely different ways. The exhibit will also display various woodblocks and etching plates for several of the more complex images he created.
