Description

The Center for Literary Arts at San Jose State University is proud to present a reading and book signing event with author Carmen Gimenez Smith. She is the author of a memoir entitled Bring Down the Little Birds, four poetry collections, and three chapbooks, as well as the co-editor of the fiction anthology, My Mother She Killed Me, My Father He Ate Me. Carmen is also the recipient of an American Book Award, the Juniper Prize for Poetry, and a fellowship from the Howard Foundation. She currently teaches at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.
