Description
Launched in 2003, Bootie was the first club night in the United States dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with monthly parties in 7 cities on 2 continents. Mixing and matching every conceivable musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party where everyone feels welcome.

Tonight, Bootie presents the San Francisco debut of live DJ WiiJ band Miyamoto, as they present their new show, "Super Mash Brothers: Bootie." Miyamoto is a unique hybrid band which combines a DJ using hacked Nintendo Wii controllers (known as "WiiJing") with live guitar, video mixing, keyboards, and other Wii devices, such as a wireless Guitar Hero controller. In the upstairs lounge, Electro-Bootie returns. It's our monthly "club-within-a-club" showcasing electro bootlegs, remixes, and covers, with guest DJ Maxentropy, from Philadelphia. And at midnight, the Funk4Soul dance collective will perform the midnight mashup show.
