Description
The story behind Black Pussy's name is that they heard a rumor that it was the name the Rolling Stones originally wanted to call their song "Black Sugar." Not sure if that's true, but it's a good story. They got a lot more from that song than just a name. Their music is really everything that was good about '70s rock & roll: sexy, hard-rock grooves that sound like they are coming right from the musicians' pelvises and not their brains. Some lump Black Pussy in with the wave of modern psychedelic-metal bands, but they don't go into crazy, dark territory like a lot of groups. It's just feel-good hard rock with a solid midtempo groove.
