The guys in Audio Push may wind up with a bigger place in dance history than in hip-hop. Like the New Boys, they dropped a song in 2009 about an emerging street dance in L.A. called jerkin'--with a video showing how to do it. Not only did "Teach Me How to Jerk" blow up, so did the dance, and suddenly it was all over the country. The funky, upbeat, hip-hop groove of the song was as catchy as it was danceable. Their two subsequent singles, "Up n Down" and "Radio" both have a lot more tender R&B influences, showing Audio Push can slow jam just as well as they can jerk. - Aaron Carnes sanjose.com
