Description

This show will be the release of the second untitled EP by Anya & the Get Down, with guest DJs and performers.

Anya Kvitka is based in San Jose. She has been performing at a variety of venues around the Bay Area. She has also performed at Left Coast Live alongside a variety of local artists like The Limousines and Benjamin Henderson.

Anya has a unique musical style that includes a multitude of genres like rock, soul, blues, reggae, jazz, and hip-hop. She performs solo on occasion but also performs with her band, the Get Down. Her first EP, Motionless, was released in 2009. Since then the band has been working on releasing their next album, set to release this summer.

Opening for the night is Raquel Rodriguez, an LA-based singer songwriter who is said to gain her influence from Amy Winehouse and Etta Janes, a fusion of R&B and jazz. She has gained entrance into USC’s Thornton School of Music to study jazz. She has three releases to date on Bandcamp, a self-titled EP, Wildfire SBTRKT, and Midnight Whispers.
