Description

August 19 commemorates the death of Maria Luis Peralta, the Californio who lived in the peralta and was one of the first mayor of Pueblo de San Jose de Guadalupe. There will be dancing and music traditional to his time period, along with descendents of horses used by Spanish explorers.

There will also be educational opportunities. Children will get the chance to learn about the mission and rancho period of California, along with arts and crafts typical of the time period.
