San Jose's Amonie are one of the loudest bands you will ever hear-so loud that you won't be able to talk during their set. When they hit the stage, you must decide-leave the club or give them your undivided attention. There's no middle ground. You will be blown away if you do stay. They are incredible players that follow in the footsteps of other instrumental post-rock bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, creating musical arcs instead of catchy, repetitive hooks. Amonie, however, are much more stripped down in their instrumentation than GY!BE. It is amazing just how much emotion they radiate without a singer.Schedule
