Description
Chanticleer, dubbed "the world's reigning male chorus," is bringing in the Christmas cheer this holiday season. The Grammy award-winning "orchestra of voices" performs its beloved holiday program amid the rich acoustics and ornate interior of Memorial Church at Stanford. The evening's music for the season will include the world premiere of celebrated Swedish composer Jan Sandstrom's "The Word Became Flesh." The program will have a decidedly early English flavor, but will also feature songs by contemporary composers and Chanticleer favorites, Steven Sametz and Ivan Moody, as well as a selection of carols and traditional Christmas spirituals.
