There are few things more American than the love of baseball, bacon and beer and the Bacon and Beer Classic brings it all together for a day of tastings, interactive games and live entertainment on March 21 at the San Jose Municipal Stadium.
With two sessions, brunch or dinner, participants will experience more than 40 breweries including Santa Clara County Brewing, Faultline Brewing Company and Gordon Biersch. The classic also features more than 30 local restaurants including Firehouse Gastropub No.1, Henry’s Hi-Life and Spuds Potato Bar.
From bacon burgers to cupcakes and bacon laced milkshakes, brew and bacon lovers will indulge in an abundance of tastings from the moment they arrive with craft brew samples and sizzling delicacies.
Local judges will also be tasting recipes to see who has the best brew and tastiest bacon, including Dan Gordon of Gordon Biersch, Tonya Holland of Brown Sugar Kitchen and B-side BBQ in Oakland and Chris Cohen, founder of the San Francisco Homebrewers Guild.
