A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck 45 miles southeast of San Jose in Monterey County early this morning. The tremor occurred at 12:51 am, and could be felt throughout the region. It was the second earthquake in less than a week to hit the region. On Saturday, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake occurred east of San Jose. There was no reported damage or injury from this morning’s quake.
